Kumrat Valley Travel Guide
Kumrat Valley is located in Upper Dir District, KPK Pakistan. This blog will step by step guides about the traveling of KUMRAT VALLEY. I have made off the routine video on my YouTube channel MTV Travel as well but I wrote this post which will definitely guide you to travel this beautiful valley. You need to have 4 wheeler for this trip especially from Utror to Thal. You can easily rent it from Utror. This whole road is under construction till Kumrat Valley. So no personal car or luxury vehicle is suitable for this route. I hope this guideline will also help bikers as well when they chose this route for the Kumrat Valley trip. This is the shortest approach for Kumrat Valley.
Kumrat Valley got more media coverage when PM Imran Khan visited here in his election campaign in 2018.
Dear Readers, I claim that you have never seen such a beautiful, peaceful, and airy place as Kumrat Valley. In my perception, Kumrat valley is a heaven on earth. Please tell me after visiting the valley. You have to visit the beautiful Kumrat Valley to see the organic beauty of Pakistan. As you know Kumrat valley is the most visited tourists site in the year 2020 and 2021.
The other places in Kumrat Valley are Jungle point, Kumrat Waterfall, Kala Pani, and the banks of river Panjkora or Kumrat River.
Some famous hotels in Kumrat valley are Jungle hotel, Vines hotel, and beautiful A-framed Said huts. The nearest other amazing location is Jahaz Banda. If you want to enjoy all the routes then visit this site on a Bike.
I have mentioned distance along with two routes. If you want to follow Route 1 (8:30 hours 372 Km then drive from Islamabad to Peshawar on Motorway M1 turn from Swabi Col Sher Khan Interchange towards Swat Motorway, touch Chakdara than Timergara and further go towards Upper Dir. when you reach near Upper Dir city than10 km to before turn right towards Sheringal, on the way you will view Sheringal, Kalkot Biar than Thal. Thal is the nearest town to Kumrat.
Kumrat from Thal
Kumrat is about 40 Km from THAL and the road is too bad to travel. I think a four-wheeler is the only best option for a group or bike for single/double passengers. The earlier described route in the above paragraph is very suitable for families. Route No 2 (10:00 hours and 430 Km) is by Using Hazara Motorway M15 from Islamabad via Mansehra, Thakot you can reach Besham. From Besham use N90 via Alpuri, Shangla Top to reach Khawaza Khela, and further travel on N95 to reach Kalam via Kala Kot, Madyan, and Bahrain. Stay overnight here and in the morning take a leisurely drive from Kalam to Utror, Saazgal, Badagoi Top, and Thal. Now further you will reach Kumrat Valley from Thal easily.
The track between Kalam and Thal is although very tuff but very fascinating. The Badawi Pass or Badgoi Top is a pass that connects the Upper Dir District with the Swat district of KPK province in Pakistan. Its elevation is 3,523 meters.
