Recalling the need for cricket fans now the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced to the Baluchistan government that Gwadar Cricket Stadium will host a friendly cricket match between Quetta Gladiator and Karachi Kings on March 25, 2021, on right. after the completion of PSL 6 (# HBLPSL6).
The decision was made by Waseem Khan of PCB, Nadeem Omar the owner of Quetta Gladiators, and Salman Iqbal the owner of the Karachi Kings (work postponed due to Pandemic Covid-19).
On 14 November 2020 in Gwadar, The cricket ground was opened by the Prime Minister of Baluchistan, Mr. Jam Kamal Khan Alyani.
The stadium held its first SooperHai Pakistan Cup cricket match between the Gwadar Dolphins and the Showbiz Sharks on Friday 19 February 2021 in honor of the late mountaineer Muhammad Ali Sadpara.
Christian Turner the British Higher Commissioner is in charge of the match and hopes the England cricket team will play the game at Gwadar Stadium one day. He also said that this is the best cricket ground in the world. Peshawar ZALMI also organized its tests here.
Singer-songwriter Fakhr-e-Alam visited the stadium and shared photos on his Twitter account when South African cricketer Tabraiz Shamsi said we could take the third T-20 match here. Pakistan has about 44 stadiums before Gwadar Cricket Stadium now with a total of 45 stadiums.
